I’ll leave it up to you to decide whether flat or curved triggers are preferable. However, larger hands may like the new flat trigger for the longer length of pull. It was a creative method for SIG Sauer to solve objections from large-handed shooters about the trigger’s short length of pull without altering the size of the trigger’s placement on the frame.

The Sig Sauer P365 XL, in keeping with current trends, has a flat trigger, which extends the reach. A shorter, smoother take-up; and less overtravel might improve the feel of this trigger.

Shooting

Firing the Sig 365 XL isn’t entirely what you’d anticipate. If you’ve fired the Glock 43x, Sig P365, and Glock 19, this is the gun for you. You’re probably expecting the Sig P365 XL to be an incredibly soft shooter, but it shoots pretty similarly to the much smaller Sig P365, in my view.

Ergonomics 

The 365 XL compact’s ergonomics were outstanding overall. You will enjoy it while in your hands, as it has a good grip. The grip is robust and quite pleasant. Also, the extensive slide and barrel, construction, smooth and rounded edges were high-quality. I have no malfunctions with this pistol.

It was easy to find and use the sliding lock lever. The mag release button appeared to be too close to the back of the trigger guard for me to reach it fast and remove the mags. 

I would slightly alter the placement and size of the mag release to make it somewhat larger and back some. I had to adjust my medium-sized hands to eject magazines comfortably.

Range

It’s enjoyable to shoot with this gun. The recoil is normal small 9mm, which means it’s a touch heavy and has some flip. It’s easy to manage, and the grip comes in handy here. With limited experience, firing double taps and controlled pairings is a breeze. The trigger is light and easy to operate. It ended with a clean break and little take-up. The reset button is tactile, loud, and, most importantly, short.

The new X-RAY3 sights are excellent. The sight is dual-purpose, and you may use it at night as well as during the day. With the help of two concealed tritium vials, the rearview is dim. Although the front sight has a tritium vial, a large, brilliant green insert encircled. The lights shine brightly in the dark and are simple to pick up on and notice.

That’s what swayed my decision to try the XL version. I’m already many hundred rounds in and haven’t had a single problem with the pistol.

The massive ejection port contributes to the pistol’s dependability. Another distinguishing feature is the pistol’s slide, which has front and rear cocking serrations for simple slide racking. The Sig Sauer P365 XL is an accurate handgun that will not fail you when you need it the most.

Magwell
